I thought i had a story in my game (see previous post). But my teachers told me i needed a real story. I wasn't on the same wave-length. I had in mind games didn't need a story. Look at games like Candy-crush or Flappy-Bird for example. So i did research in my thesis about this subject. I found out that people often give meaning to a context but that a story gives purpose to the game. It didn't have to be elaborated. Like chess at the fist view there's no story yet you could imagine that is a game where two kingdoms fight each other to invade them. So i started thinking about what my story could be. I chose to base mine on the fable of the hare and the tortoise. It's a well-known story i won't have to explain in detail. Just like you see in the picture below should trigger the story to most people. Except i would tell it trough the eyes of the bunny rather than trough those of the turtle. I also wanted to make it fun by making it a bit like those cartoon of roadrunner and coyote where the coyote tries to barricade the road and that the runner. I my story the turtle would try to sabotage the bunny to have a chance at winning. just like in those old cartoons.
